Interview-day setup checklist

Night-before checklist

1. Download the desktop app. Get the current build from Download. Prefer the machine you will interview on, not a secondary laptop you have not tested.
2. Sign in and confirm your plan. Open the app, sign in, and check that your subscription is active on Pricing / the dashboard so you are not blocked mid-loop.
3. Grant required permissions. Approve microphone / audio access the app needs to hear questions. On macOS, also handle Screen Recording or related prompts if the setup flow asks for them.
4. Add your resume locally. Import your CV on the device. It stays on your machine and is used in memory to tailor behavioral answers. See Resume & privacy.
5. Enable stealth and keyboard shortcuts. Turn on share-exclusion, opacity, click-through, and hide shortcuts. Learn the modifier-key HUD so you can adjust without hunting menus live.
6. Do a 10-minute dress rehearsal. Join the same meeting tool you will use tomorrow, share the same window, ask a friend a mock question, and confirm latency and stealth feel right.

Day-of reminders

• Open PassInterviews before you join the interview, not after you are already screen-sharing.
• Close noisy apps and notifications that fight for focus or audio devices.
• If you share a window instead of a full screen, share the IDE or browser, not a display that might include unexpected UI.
• Keep Contact & Help bookmarked if something breaks; email support with your account email.
